We all have scars. Emotional, physical,mental.... I titled this site 'Married with SCARS" because I want people to see the true beauty of my scars and in turn see their own. I am not only speaking to married (folk) but to everyone I can connect with. So while reading, hopefully you will be able to pinpoint yours....
I married the love of my life, "SCARS the poet". That's right, SCARS is the inspiration for this phenomenon! His scars tell a completely different story, which is why it is so incredible how our paths even crossed. I grew up VERY traditionally, which didn't afford me the chance to really experience a lot of things. We (my siblings and I) were sheltered, to what we thought was the extreme. We didn't date, we didn't go on trips with our friends, we didn't really spend the night with schoolmates. Now I know you're thinking that sounds like a pretty boring childhood, but just follow me for a minute, I'm trying to get somewhere. Growing up was great, whatever we did it, was all I knew I felt like there was more on the "other side". Once I forced myself to branch out, life became totally different for me. I made mistakes I NEVER thought I would I would make, I judged, I cried, I hurt people, people hurt me and it was the beginning of adult life as we know it. You see I had never really stepped outside my box, so when I did I was exposed to a world I wasn't ready for. I hope you're following me... So I got beat up by the world, yes it ate me alive and by God's grace I am able to share with you today the things I had to learn to get to this point. God had to get me ready for this wonderful man I married. He had to get me ready for this beautiful family I've attained. In order to get me there He had to allow me to be hurt and beaten and scarred.
Do not be afraid of your SCARS. Don't be afraid to get them either. Let them happen and allow God to heal you from them. I will leave you with this for now but it's not over! More to come, but right now duty calls! #WIFEY #PURPOSE #NEWMOM
